Contest Environment and Compilers: We are planning this year to use Linux environment. Check this page for changes and modifications regarding details, however, we are planning to provide the following:

The PC2 team software was not changed between version 8.6 and 8.7. We are using the old version because that environment was thoroughly tested last year.

Each team will be allowed to use one PC-compatible computer (such as Dell or equivalent). The guaranteed configuration of the computer includes a US keyboard, mouse and color monitor.

The programming languages of the contest are C, C++ and Java. Pascal is not longer provided. See above for a list of available compilers and versions.

The software will be installed in standard configuration and we will follow as closely as possible the general suggestions that you can find in compilers/development environments during the contest: We plan to install the ANSI C standard library and the standard template library. We have the following editors (this list can be updated and shortened): joe, mcedit, nedit, vim, xemacs, emacs and xwpe. Debuggers: ddd, gdb.

Results: (will be posted after the contest). More information can be found in Mid-Central Region Mid-Central Headquarter page.
