The Eleventh CS Freshman Day

Students who submitted Web/Programming Challenge - please report at the above place at 10:45 AM.

The Freshman Day is a by-invitation only event for academically excelling high school students accepted/considering to apply to Computer Science Department at the University of Kentucky. Additionally, groups from high schools who contacted us are invited. The Freshman Day is scheduled together with the Engineering Day to allow students and their parents to learn more about the College of Engineering and the participants are encouraged to visit exhibits prior to registration. During the Freshman Day the participants will have an opportunity to meet with faculty, students and industry representatives. Dedicated college staff will be available to answer questions related to job opportunities and scholarships. After tours of our research and computing facilities there will be time for informal talks and meetings. Winning entries for the Web and Programming Challenge 2004 will be presented during the meeting.

The programs submitted to the Programming Challenge can be viewed at the ACM/UPE table at the Engineering Day in Raymond Build ing. Students who submitted their entries to the Challenge should come to the Hardymon Building around 10:45 AM.

Hardymon Building is on UK Campus at the corner of Maxwell and Rose Streets. Here is a guide or ask the staff of the Engineering Day for directions. We encourage everyone to visit exhibitions of E-day in the Engineering Quadrangle prior to the registration.
